"The Little Blue Mouse"

Beneath the moon's soft glow, a vision did unfold, A mouse, not grey, but azure, brave and bold. It danced across the mended, darkened floor, With eyes like pearls, it stole my gaze once more. A whirlwind blue, it scurried to my bed, Where flat I lay, in slumber's depths instead. Curled tight, it seemed a demon in disguise, Panting softly, moonlight in its eyes. Beside it, bathed in shadows deep and cool, My black cat slumbered, unaware of the jewel. With pouncing grace, a hunter's instinct stirred, Oh, the fragile beauty of the mouse unheard. Terror sparked, a flight of turquoise wings, Bones like coral, where the moonlit ocean clings. A phantom ship emerged from shadows near, Carrying the mouse away, dispelling fear. But in the cat's dark eyes, a reflection shone, The pearl-light glimmer, claiming it his own. No conscience questioned, nature's call obeyed, The blue mouse vanished, in the hunt's cascade. I stirred awake, and gently pushed away My white sheet, f...

Failed Another Test

Like fruits, shaken free by an impatient tree, From the veil of its seed a growth of shrubs; And ye be shrub; and thou flower, Thou comest, the soothing flame, in gentle breeze Of whirling in frantic dance  Amidst the the wind-lashed cloud and infuriate shower, Whilst trampled by thy turbulence doth Scattered all thy fate in an eddying agony to death. Yet in the tempest of mood, Doth i write this trying to be Keats But ye know how thy Keats ain’t And ye Knowth the Best.  Of yore in a sour wait of moment; No lobby for playing ye charm, For doth I not your prince charming; Wait; and let live the life; for it unwraps The hope of ye, fulfill.

My Mother's Wish

In the early doze of beautiful spring You were tilling the soil; for the growth of another season Waited for your return, And you did come Packed my lunch for the school so dearly And before I leave you for school A promise that I repeat everyday To be a man you wanted me to be Repeat I and echoes my inner self As I listen to the songs unheard My dreams fade away; but to hope I clung on Hoping that someday I would become a man you wanted me to be. Yet I think I am failing you! As intend to sleep; the journey begins; Of a way long needed to be walked on By the gliding waves of imaginations Of a destinations unknown, And yet as you hated life and walked the realm away Have you ever wanted me to be more than a good human being ?

A mother in Mother’s Place

When life beacons its bad beauty You sworn away yet left you in choices lost. Tries grasping its beauty; but choices are not for you For it is your destiny; clings unto hope though with despair overwhelmed. A car without fuel, laptop with internet disconnected and kitchen with pots unfilled Welcomes you in the bend that life offers, a turn which awaits long And through the blue shades you look at sun, it blends but not all rays Yet accepts you; for this is the choice you made A ray of hope, a mother in mother’s place; Thanks to you my benign Aunty Pem Should you see the cute smile from my kid wearing a nice shirts and pants? Yet that’s the only gratitude they can offer you, know them well. My car has fuel to run, used I the half of which you gave Crackers for my kid’s breakfast; used quarter of what is left Feasts by them like Oliver Twist in his orphanage Luring around; I cannot but see them grow The despair that overwhelms, tempts me to los...

Burning Mid Night Oil

In a darkened room, the light glimmer,  Wakes up a zombie, concerned Flipping the books, unknown which to learn. Checks the clock and 1a.m.  It is too early; yet not If yes,  awaits in three days An unprepared trial  Takes his seat, composed yet stressed.  Takes his bulky books,  Starts with hope to finish a subject,  Uncovered,  lost in amidst of subjects Finds he in equilibrium lost.  Goes to kitchen, grabs a mug, Blackened coffee    to subside his yawn Back to unfinished revision, it's dawn. Sleepy, yet perseverance has he.  Goes to bathroom and shower does he take. Stomps his breakfast, i n a minutes few Takes a ride to his holly school Ushered with smiles of cheering friends. The smiles fake the coming exam,  Joy of momentary; summoned with worry, Questions, but one do i ask myself....
